Redmond, Wash. – At a live event on the evening of Wednesday, January 6, Lake Washington School District (LWSD) Superintendent, Dr. Jon Holmen, announced Pathway Forward, LWSD’s plan to return students to in-person learning for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

An International Community School student is the 2019-20 winner of the sixth annual Washington State Zine Contest. Katya Rukhlinskaia, who is now in eighth grade, won for grades 7-9 for her “Tribes: The Cowlitz” zine entry.

    PTSA Special Education Group

    The Lake Washington PTSA Special Education Group helps connect parents in the Lake Washington School District who have children with disabilities. It is compromised of parents whose children receive special services (IEPs) and accommodations (504s). Interested staff and students are also welcome. The group meets every school month except December and June. The group hosts speakers, provides an extensive lending library, shares community resources, helps parents network and helps parents stay up to date on district and PTSA issues affecting children with disabilities.
