We are excited to share our new “Student Profile” with you.

Over the past year, we have worked closely with students, staff, and families to develop a shared vision of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions essential for future-ready learning.

Committee Purpose/Charge

To provide recommendations for the development of an updated strategic plan around academic and well-being outcomes for students. This workgroup will work to identify skills, knowledge, dispositions, and experiences that each student should acquire during their time in our district. The committee's contributions will be critical in creating an actionable strategic plan that aligns with both immediate needs and long-term aspirations through a re-envisioned profile of a graduate.

The superintendent will consider the recommendations as he develops an updated strategic plan.

Membership criteria

The committee will have approximately 30 members/community volunteers representing various groups with balanced representation from across the district. Some members will be appointed by their represented group and others will be selected through an application process. Committee members are expected to attend and engage in all meetings.

Ideal applicants should: 

Have a desire to learn from and about student experiences and perspectives.
Have knowledge, interest, or background in systems-thinking and aspirational goal setting.
Be curious about the academic program and resulting impact on student well-being and opportunities.  
Be willing to productively engage in conversations regarding priorities and services to support students in their academic and overall well-being.

Meetings

The Strategic Plan - Academic Excellence Workgroup meetings will be held on Thursdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
