School Boundary Committee (2022-23)

The board adopted the final boundary recommendation. The final boundaries can be reviewed on the 2022 boundary review process webpage. 

The boundary committee has completed its work and has developed a final boundary recommendation. The final recommendation adjusts elementary and middle school attendance areas in the Lake Washington High School feeder pattern. Student enrollment is distributed throughout the Lake Washington area. Elementary attendance changes would occur in the 2023-24 school year and middle school changes in the 2024-25 school year.

In October 2022, a Boundary Committee began the work to make recommendations for school attendance boundaries in the Lake Washington area.

Neighborhood boundaries for all elementary and middle schools in the Lake Washington High School feeder pattern could change, beginning in the 2023-24 school year for elementary school students and in 2024-25 for middle school students. 

The Lake Washington Area Boundary Committee met in December and again last week to finalize the next set of scenarios to be presented to the community for feedback.

Lake Washington School District has started the process of redrawing school attendance boundaries for the Lake Washington area. Part of the process is to engage families.

This fall, a boundary committee will be convened to analyze and make recommendations for the attendance areas of the schools affected by current/potential overcrowding in the Lake Washington area. Specifically, the following schools may be impacted by these boundary updates:

• Audubon Elementary
• Franklin Elementary
• Kirk Elementary
• Lakeview Elementary
• Rose Hill Elementary
• Rush Elementary
• Twain Elementary
• Kirkland Middle School
• Rose Hill Middle School
