Elementary Orchestra includes the violin, viola and cello. Orchestra is offered to 4th and 5th grade students and is taught at Kirkland Middle School before school by Tim Ashe. Most students will attend orchestra practice twice a week, depending on their instrument.

Transportation from the middle school to Peter Kirk is provided by a district bus. Orchestra students will miss from 5-15 minutes of their elementary homeroom on their two designated band days. This is understood and supported by the homeroom teachers and administrators.
