Highest certification an educator can achieve

Redmond, Wash. – Fifty-four Lake Washington School District educators achieved or maintained their National Board Certification®, as announced by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Fifteen educators were certified for the first time and 39 educators maintained their certification this year.

Some schools open to LWSD students residing outside their attendance area

Redmond, Wash. – Lake Washington School District (LWSD) holds an open enrollment period each year for parents who want their children to attend a school other than their neighborhood school.

Redmond, Wash. – If you live in Lake Washington School District (LWSD) and your child will be five years old on or before August 31, 2024, it is time to register your child for kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year!

Twain STEM nights

Twain Elementary and LWSD’s Equity & Family Engagement Department teamed up to host two STEM nights this March.

It is special enough for one of our great theater teachers to win a statewide award, but to have two is amazing! This school year, theater teachers from both Juanita High School (JHS) and Eastlake High School (EHS) were recognized by the Washington State Thespians for the work they do for our students.
