Student Representative to the School Board
Two Student Representatives were added to the Board in 2022 in order to provide student voices to Board conversations. Most students will serve two-year terms. For the 2023-24 school year, the Board will add three additional student representatives.
The Lake Washington School District Board of Directors is looking to add student representatives to the Board. Specifically, the Board is looking for:
- A current 10th grade student from Emerson High School, Emerson K-12, Futures, International Community School, Juanita High School or Lake Washington High School to serve a two-year term.
- A current 11th grade student from Emerson High School, Emerson K-12, Futures, International Community School, Juanita High School or Lake Washington High School to serve a one-year term.
- A current 10th grade student from Eastlake High School, Redmond High School or Tesla STEM High School to serve a two-year term.
Student board representatives must be in good academic standing and willing and able to commit to attend all regular school board meetings (approximately every other Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
