Holocaust art contest

Nearly 600 students in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska put together inspiring work at this year’s Holocaust Center for Humanity (HCH) contest. Out of all those entries, four Nikola Tesla STEM High School students placed in the top three. This year’s “Celebrating Life: 2022 Holocaust Writing, Art, and Film Contest,” put on by HCH, challenges students to explore the history and stories of the Holocaust.

    Student Representative to the School Board

    Student representative to board

    The Lake Washington School District Board of Directors is looking to add student representatives to the Board. The Board is looking for: 

    • A current 11th grade student from Emerson High School, Emerson K-12, Futures, International Community School, Juanita High School or Lake Washington High School to serve a one-year term.
    • A current 10th grade student from Eastlake High School, Redmond High School, or Tesla STEM High School to serve a two-year term.

    Student board representatives must be in good academic standing and willing and able to commit to attend all regular school board meetings (approximately every other Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.).
