Redmond, Wash. – Congratulations to Lake Washington School District’s 65 seniors who were recently named National Merit finalists.
Redmond, Wash. – Twenty Lake Washington School District educators achieved or maintained their National Board Certification®, as announced by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Nine educators were certified for the first time and 11 educators maintained their certification this year.
Lake Washington School District (LWSD) has finalized plans to make up for days missed due to the widespread power outages in November and snow days in February.

Redmond, Wash. – Lake Washington School District (LWSD) holds an open enrollment period each year for families who live in the district and want their children to attend a school other than their neighborhood school and for families who live outside the district and want to attend a school in the LWSD.
The pool will be closed from March 1, 2025-August 31, 2025
Redmond, Wash. – The Community Pool at Juanita High School (JHS) will be closed from March 1, 2025 through August 31, 2025 to make critical capital improvements to extend the life of the pool.

On Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, this year, Muir Elementary students had the opportunity to plant vegetable and flower seeds in celebration of the observance!
Nearly 310,000 works were submitted for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards this year. Only about 2,800 students nationwide received national medals and three of those students are from Lake Washington School District (LWSD).
