Redmond, Wash. – Sixty-one Lake Washington School District (LWSD) high school seniors have been named semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the semifinalists on Wednesday, September 9.

Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced this week that two additional Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarships:
On June 16, 2026, Lake Washington School District (LWSD) sold a total of $93.45 million of tax-exempt refunding bonds, which will refinance $97.29 million of its existing debt, to take advantage of lower market interest rates.
Board reorganizes once per year
Redmond, Wash. – The Lake Washington School District Board of Directors named a new President, Vice President and Legislative Representative during their regular board meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Keller Elementary School has been recognized as a Bright Spots Top School by The 74, a national education news organization that highlights schools across the country where students are outperforming expectations in reading achievement.
