Community Engagement

We believe that strong communities build strong schools, and strong schools build strong communities.
Here are some of the initiatives for 2024-25 around Community Engagement:
-
Continued to use ParentSquare as the district’s school-to-home communications tool. This tool provides district, school and classroom information to families in their home language and allows for two-way communication.
-
Continued partnerships with organizations such as Nourishing Networks, Eastside Pathways, and others to continue to offer community support.
-
Continued to contribute weekly news and information for communications sent to families by Noticias en Español, providing important, culturally relevant school news and information to Spanish-speaking families.
-
Engaged with community stakeholders in multiple committees to develop and advise on matters related to the budget, facilities, and safety.
-
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) program held a community fair called a “Career Partners Celebration”. At this event, the CTE program invited industry partners, teachers, and students to showcase and celebrate the different programs, projects, and awards that CTE students had participated in or won throughout the year.
-
Held a first-ever Community Wellness Fair to promote wellbeing resources for our staff and community.
