Lake Washington School District (LWSD) recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for students to meet with and learn from community members. There are three different mentoring opportunities available to correspond with mentor interests and availability.

    Administrative Policies

    As of October 21, 2019, Lake Washington School District implemented a reorganized Administrative Policy structure. The policies were changed from a lettering system to a numbering system. The cross-reference page will provide information about the former policies that relate to the numbered policies.

    Board Policies

    Board policies focus on the organization's mission

    These policies set the mission and other “ends” or goals of the organization. They structure the relationship of the Board of Directors and the Superintendent, and set limits on how the Superintendent is to carry out the goals. They define how the Board will operate.

    Governance Culture (GC)

These policies address the Board’s own culture, how it will conduct business, and how members will conduct themselves and interact with each other.

    Board Superintendent Relationship (B/SR)
