Would you wear a watch and slippers made from carbon dioxide emissions? Or brush your teeth using toothpaste made from CO₂? Before the pandemic, students at Evergreen Middle School were learning about real products that capture and store carbon dioxide that would otherwise go into the atmosphere.
Immunization of Students
File: 3413.B
In order to safeguard the school community from the spread of certain communicable diseases and in recognition that prevention is a means of combating the spread of disease, the School Board requires all students to present evidence of having been immunized against those diseases identified and required by the Washington Department of Health (DOH) prior to the first day of school.
The District shall allow for exemptions from immunization requirements only as permitted by law.
Parents of students who are to be excluded for lack of immunization shall be so notified in writing and shall have the opportunity to appeal pursuant to the same rules as apply to student discipline matters.
