Would you wear a watch and slippers made from carbon dioxide emissions? Or brush your teeth using toothpaste made from CO₂? Before the pandemic, students at Evergreen Middle School were learning about real products that capture and store carbon dioxide that would otherwise go into the atmosphere.
School Bus Safety Program

Rules and regulations regarding the school bus safety program and the responsibilities of school bus drivers are prepared by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction by and with the advice of the Chief of the Washington State Patrol and the Director of Highways for the State of Washington, and apply to all public school buses and their drivers operating in the State of Washington.
Emergencies
In the event of an accident or other emergency, the bus driver shall follow the emergency procedures in accordance with the School Bus Driver Handbook (SPI). A copy of the emergency procedures shall be located in each bus. To ensure the success of such emergency procedures, each bus driver shall conduct an emergency evacuation drill within the first six weeks of each school semester. The district shall conduct such other drills and procedures as may be necessary.
