Facilities Projections
A school district Facilities Master Plan shall be maintained and kept up-to-date. It shall reflect the needs of current and projected instructional procedures and educational programming as identified by the educational staff. The Master Plan shall incorporate the latest issues of the following information as required by State regulations.

  1. Enrollment projections as prepared annually based upon October 1 enrollments by the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

  2. Inventory of current facilities based upon state rated capacities with a summarization showing the need for new classrooms for each of the next five years based upon the enrollment projections.

  3. Site acquisition needs based upon the attendance area maps for future school neighborhoods.

  4. Building fund requirements for providing and furnishing the school facilities required to meet the projections.

Enrollment Projections
Enrollment forecasts shall be prepared utilizing current enrollment information supplemented with data furnished by the appropriate planning offices. These forecasts shall be provided by the superintendent to the board on an annual basis during the spring of each year.

Enrollment shall be projected for a six-year period using methods acceptable to the State Board of Education for determining the district's eligibility for state funding assistance. This projection shall be reviewed and revised as necessary and supplemented by an analysis of additional factors that may affect the student population, such as potential zoning and development changes within the district, housing projections and the development of new businesses and public projects.
