Redmond, Wash. – Ella Baker Elementary in Redmond has been recognized as a National School of Character. This is the first time a school from Washington state has been recognized with this award. The recognition comes from Character.org, an organization dedicated to empowering people of all ages to practice and model core values.
A teacher at Lake Washington High School (LWHS) is making history. Michael Dawson, history teacher at LWHS, recently received the 2021 Thomas J. and Cameron Pressly Endowed Prize for Outstanding History or Social Studies Teacher in Washington Schools.
Students at Nikola Tesla STEM High School (Tesla STEM) have some serious business skills. Dozens of students from Tesla STEM competed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference in Spokane between April 10-13. Six individuals and teams finished in first place.
Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced today that five Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Forty-eight students were selected statewide for these awards.
