Policies

(This policy exists to be used if a Board committee is created. This policy will only be included in Board annual self-assessment should a committee exist during that year.)

 

All Board committees are listed below.


Committee Title: Board Policy Review Committee

  1. Name: Board Policy Review Committee
    1. Purpose/Charge:
      1. Selected board members will work with the superintendent to make recommended changes to Operational Expectations and Results policies. Selected board members will analyze policy language, superintendent interpretation, indicators, timing for monitoring, board feedback process and monitoring report presentation procedures.
    2. Membership:
      1. The Board will select two members to serve on the Board Policy Review Committee through a nomination, accepted nomination, and majority vote.
    3. Reporting Schedule:
      1. Selected board members will provide the full Board, at a minimum, monthly updates on the identified work items.
    4. Term:
      1. Selected board members will serve on the Board Policy Review Committee for two years.
    5. Authority Over Resources:
      1. Selected board members will not have additional authority over resources. The selected board members retain the authority to identify policy concerns, develop recommendations and provide feedback/rationale for suggested changes to the full Board.
