Redmond, Wash. – At a live event on the evening of Wednesday, January 6, Lake Washington School District (LWSD) Superintendent, Dr. Jon Holmen, announced Pathway Forward, LWSD’s plan to return students to in-person learning for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

An International Community School student is the 2019-20 winner of the sixth annual Washington State Zine Contest. Katya Rukhlinskaia, who is now in eighth grade, won for grades 7-9 for her “Tribes: The Cowlitz” zine entry.

    The Board of Directors of the Lake Washington School District may take a position on any ballot measure or ballot proposition which directly affects the operation of the schools, but shall not endorse any candidate for public office. 

    School facilities should not be used for posting political campaign material or propaganda. Any distribution of such material shall occur at a place, at a time, and in a manner that shall not substantially disrupt students or school activities. This policy may be waived in the case of authorized school elections that are deemed part of the educational process.
