Next time you ride the bus or light rail, you could see a poem written by a Lake Washington School District student. The poems of three students from International Community School (ICS) were accepted in the 2024 Poetry in Public program.

Students from an Advanced Placement Government class at Lake Washington High School spent March 28 in Olympia watching Governor Jay Inslee sign a bill they introduced to the Washington State Legislature. The bill is HB2301, which promotes composting and reducing food waste.
