On Monday, January 27, the Lake Washington Educational Support Professionals ratified the Tentative Agreement reached between the LWESP and LWSD negotiating teams earlier this month.
The district and LWESP have participated in eight mediated sessions since August and have continued to exchange proposals.
On January 6, 2020, the district proposal included an average salary increase of 12.8% over three years. The LWESP provided a counter proposal on January 6 that included an average salary increase of 28.1% over three years.
The district and LWESP have participated in seven mediation sessions since August. At the September 26 mediation, the district provided a second response to LWESP’s salary proposal. At the October 8 mediation, LWESP provided a response which included proposed salary increases ranging from 29-42%, a reduction from LWESP’s August salary proposal of 32-59% increases.
