Fall - Dissolved Oxygen

Students learn the importance of dissolved oxygen to life in the stream.  They perform tests to measure the level of oxygen in the stream and determine the health of the stream. 

 

Spring - Flow and Velocity

Students learn about the flow (how much) and the velocity (how fast) of a stream can determine the health of a stream and its ability to sustain salmon and other aquatic life.  Flow and velocity tests are conducted on 5 different sites.
