*Scholastic Book Fair*

Please come to our Fall Book Fair in the Library! 

*Nov. 3rd, Weds. from 2pm to 5pm,  

*Nov. 4th, Thur. from 3:30pm to 6pm 

*Nov. 5th, Fri. from 3:30pm to 4:30pm and 5:30pm to 8:30pm during the all school dance!

*Battle of the Books *   We have 9 teams ready to battle this year:

Raining Skittles, Super Seamonkeys, Rising Heroes, Silly Poodles, Blue Ninjas, The Seekers, The All-Stars, Super Spider Monkeys,and Perry's Reading Minions. 

They are reading the 12 books selected by the LWSD Librarians and will then participate in a double elimination tournament during lunch recesses in the Library after winter break. Our championship team will compete with other schools in an online battle the end of January or early February. Check back for dates!

*Global Reading Challenge*  The books from KCLS have arrived and we have 6 teams of 4th and 5th Graders participating this year:

Gothic Flying Squirrels, Zombie Candies, Pink Butterflies, Blue Seamonkeys, Disco Freaks, and The Random People.

The KCLS Librarians will be here the end of January or early February to run the challenge and determine our school winner.  That team will go on to represent Thoreau at the District Challenge.  Check back for dates!
