Greetings Smith Families,
My name is Jamie Warner and I am the principal at Samantha Smith Elementary. My biggest joy in life is working with children. Having been a teacher in our district, I understand the position and am lucky to work with such talented professionals. I believe in the work we do, the relationships this community has built and most importantly our children.
I am originally from Port Orchard, Washington. I have lived in this area for the past six years. I received my teaching degree from Washington State University and have taught at both Ben Franklin Elementary and Rachel Carson Elementary. I received my Master’s in Educational Leadership from City University and received my Principal’s Certificate after completing my principal internship at Rachel Carson Elementary. I have had the honor of being the substitute principal at many schools across the Lake Washington School District.
My husband Ryan and I live close by. I value family and believe in creating strong relationships. I understand the power in a strong learning community and I know that the Smith Community supports education and their children. I look forward to working with the children, staff and parents to ensure the best for our students.
I am so honored to find a new home at Samantha Smith Elementary and to have the opportunity to serve your community.
Sincerely,
Jamie Warner
