Ever have Q’s regarding IEP process/compliance, like….

·       What accommodations and goals should I request for my child? 

·       Why didn't the school let me know about these options sooner?

·       Why do I have to find things out so late?

·       Why do other students get breaks and our child doesn’t?

·       When should I start preparing for transition to kinder, middle school, high school?

These and your individual questions will be answered by our unique panel discussion of “seasoned” special needs parents, teachers and staff of LWSD Special Education. This meeting is dedicated to sharing resources on how to navigate the many channels of communication between parents and staff with the goal of ensuring your student is receiving a fair and appropriate education at LWSD. This will open the door to new understandings and improve your stress. Learn from those who’ve been through many issues and reached positive resolution.

½ days on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 23, 24^th due to Student Led Conferences.  Parents will have the opportunity to sign up for times in the week prior.  The EHS school buses will NOT be leaving early on our Conference Day schedules Nov. 23 and 24.  Parents will need to make other arrangements for pick up on those early dismissal (10:30 am) days if they don’t want their children to wait till the regular after school buses roll on those days.  Please note, Students may not stay at school after 10:30.  Teachers will not be available to supervise students once class is dismissed unless parents make arrangements ahead of time with a staff member (extra help, support, testing, etc.) 

 Additional note:  Thanksgiving Vacation:  School closes at 10:30 am on Wed. November 25^{th .} School is closed the 26th and 27th.   Buses will be running on the 25^th as this is a district-wide half day.  The buses will leave EHS at 11:10 am.
