MSP and HSPE Testing

The Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) and High School Proficiency Exams HSPE) are the replacements exams to the WASL as mandated by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

Students' results are sent to the home of record in the mail and test booklets can be requested from the OSPI directly via this link.   The paperwork must be faxed to OSPI (not LWSD), the booklet is pulled, a copy made, and the original is sent to RSAR.  When it is received we will contact the parent to view the booklet.  Only a parent/guardian can view the booklet (no students or their teachers).

Student Education Record Parent Request
Parents and guardians of students who were enrolled full time or part time in Washington public schools during state testing may view their child’s Washington Comprehensive Assessment Program (WCAP) test booklets; which includes the High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE) and Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) Test Booklet, Washington Alternate Assessment System Portfolio or Collection of Evidence (high school only).
Download the handout that explains how to request your child’s test booklet, what to expect after submitting a request, and under what circumstances the state will re-score a test.
