Focus

Students develop in an environment of artistry, rigor and warmth. Students learn to think and act using multiple approaches and perspectives. They are known and nurtured as important individuals who have an active concern for their community and society.

Application

8th and 9th grade students may apply at any time during the year and will be admitted on a "space available" basis.

All Lake Washington School District students entering the 7th grade are welcome to apply and need do so in their 6th grade year. Each Choice School holds their mandatory open house/tour in January and applications are available only at this time.

Acceptance is determined by a lottery system held at the LWSD Resource Center so that all who apply have an equal chance to attend. Those who are assigned numbers beyond the number of available openings are automatically put onto waiting list. 

Important Dates for the 2010/2011 school year:

January 19, 2010  - Renaissance Open House in the Eastlake HS Theater from 7 - 9 pm.  

January 29, 2010 - Application Deadline

February 5, 2010 - Lottery held at LWSD Resource Center

February 19, 2010 - Lottery results/Notification letters mailed out.

March 1, 2010 -  Important Deadline for Lottery Student Response.  We must have a response in our office either confirming acceptance or declining the placement by this date.

Remember - Confirmation must be returned no later than March 1st  in order to secure placement.  After this date placement will be open to students on the waiting list.
