Safety Net is a support system designed for students who are not meeting academic standards or grade level benchmarks in reading. Safety Net services provide supplemental small group instruction to students who are chosen on individual assessment data.
Parents are notified by letter that their child qualifies for placement in a supplemental reading program.
Students are exited from the program when they can demonstrate they have met grade level benchmarks in reading.
Contact Rosa Parks' Safety Net instructor Sandy Long at slong@lwsd.org if you have further questions.
