Lee Ann Jackson taught first and fourth grades previously and now teaches fifth grade, which, she admits, is her favorite. She is a graduate of the University of Washington, with a B.A. Business Administration; and earned her Masters in Teaching from Seattle University. She is a self-proclaimed “math nerd” and is Rosa Park’s math teacher leader and a member of the math adoption committee. She solves algebra problems and studies trigonometry for fun in her spare time.
Mrs. Jackson has three kids: Matthew (21), a senior at the UW (go Dawgs!); Anthony (18), a senior and Redmond High (go Stangs!); Nicholas (14), a freshman at Evergreen Junior (go Eagles!). Husband: Kelso; House Rabbit: Joey the giant rabbit. (Seriously, he’s going to be HUGE when he’s fully grown!) They enjoy playing games, cooking and watching old movies together.
Mrs. Jackson lists sewing, mountain biking, hiking and gardening among her extra-curricular activities. She also collects garden gnomes. She says "I am SO excited about a school where the arts is used by all teachers to further enhance the education of all students. The collaboration and teaming between teachers is also something I am very excited about. Each person on the staff brings a unique perspective and will contribute greatly to this wonderful school! And who wouldn't love working at a school where the staff can tap dance?"
