Angela McCathern is a second grade teacher at Rosa Parks Elementary School. Ms. McCathern has been teaching for seven years, three of them at Rosa Parks. She has wanted to be a teacher since she was little. Ms. McCathern is the oldest of four children. She has a sister who is 28 and teaches 1st grade at Rockwell, a brother who is 25 and a brother who is 23. Her parents live back home in Rockford, Washington and they love to come and visit Rosa Parks.
Ms. McCathern’s hobbies include reading. Some of her favorite books are: The Red Tent, Dancing With Ten Thousand Things, and a Curious Incident about a Dog in the Nighttime. Ms. McCathern did a lot of reading this summer at her parent’s lake cabin Idaho. Another hobby of Ms. McCathern’s is snowboarding. The winter months are her favorite each year and she can’t wait to hit the slopes this season! Lastly Ms. McCathern loves to travel and spent most of this last summer traveling. She visited, New York, Washington D.C., South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Idaho, and the Caribbean this summer. Ms. McCathern is always up for a new adventure.
