  Principal's Corner

Welcome to Redmond Middle School!  As the principal of this wonderful school, I am looking forward to the opportunity to learn and work with all students, staff and parents throughout the upcoming school year.   The time spent in middle school provides support for our learners as they move toward more self reliance and prepares them for high school and beyond.   Redmond Middle School is comprised of a caring staff committed to helping our students achieve both academic and personal success.  In addition to our academic programs, we offer a wide range of extracurricular opportunities to help students make more meaningful connections with school.

I believe that, as John Dewey said, “Education is not preparation for life; it is life itself.”  To that end, it is our responsibility, in partnership with the members of the Redmond Learning Community, to guide our students on a path to life-long learning.  We are very fortunate to be part of such a strong, supportive learning community, where we all work together to ensure our students have the skills to fulfill the LWSD vision of being future ready.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with the community is the key to building and maintaining a strong school.  I invite all parents and community members to be a part of our Redmond Middle School family.  Please feel free to contact me or access the PTSA link to find out how you can join us in the process of helping our students achieve success.

Thank you,

Kelly A. Clapp, Principal
