John Muir Elementary wants a traversing wall !
A climbing wall promotes self challenge and risk taking in a controlled environment. It builds self-esteem and helps students develop a multitude of fitness skills. Walls like this have been installed in numerous school gyms in the Lake WA District.
All we need now is the funding
Watch this page and help us Install The Wall !
Check out the links to the right for a brochure you can print (8 1/2 x 11 paper, folded in half) and a letter you and share with others to promote our campaign !
How can YOU help us reach our goal?
*ask local businesses that you frequent
*share with your neighborhood or homeowners association
*share with student groups that want to help a non-profit
*share with other schools, friends, family - you never know who might want to help
Donations of any size are appreciated. Just make checks to "John Muir PTSA" and write WALL in the notes and mail to the school office. Platinum level donors of $500 or more will be honored - if they want - with a banner in the gym, all-parent newsletter, outside Readerboard, and press release to the Kirkland Reporter thanking them for the invaluable support.
