Susan started her teaching career in Montana where she was an elementary art teacher for half a day and then taught 3rd grade for the other half. Then she made the big move out west to A. G. Bell Elementary and then to John Muir when it opened. She has been here for many years teaching a variety of grades.
She graduated with an Education degree from Montana State University. She received her 5th Year Teacher certification from the Seattle Pacific University. Susan‘s graduate studies had a focus on science, environmental education, and art.
Susan and her husband David live on a small lake outside Redmond with her husband’s Seeing Eye dog. Susan enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and participating as a board of director for her community’s electrical utility.
