Cynthia Cantwell has taught first grade for seven years, and worked as a reading specialist for 3. She has taught in Utah and Washington.
She graduated with an Education degree from Southern Utah University, with minors in Reading Instruction and Mathematics. After Cynthia began teaching in Southern Utah, she participated in advanced ELL (English Language Learner) training, as well as become a certificated “Reading Recovery Advocate”. In 2007, she was honored to have earned her National Board Certification for Language/Literacy Arts instruction.
Cynthia and her husband have one son who has attended John Muir from 1st grade to 6th grade. As a family they enjoy camping, bike riding, hiking, and having “Family Game Night”!
