Work Experience Credit
Receive Credit for Working

Work Credit For Your Student!!!  If your student has completed or is currently enrolled in an Occupational Ed. class, and has a job, they may earn an additional .5 elective credit with an A grade for every 180 hrs. they work during the school year.  They can do this up to 4 times (that’s 2 credits!) during their high school years, that’s a potential of four As towards their GPA!  If your student qualifies, have them contact Mrs. Simmers before school in Rm. 348 (East Wing).  Thanks!

Work Experience  is an innovative and highly successful approach to school-to-career. Work Experience allows students who are at least 16 yrs old and working after school to earn high school credit for their work experience.

General Guidelines

  • Students earn .5 credits for a 180 hour paid work experience, or .5 credits for a 90 hour unpaid internship.  Must be completed during the school year.

  • Work experience/internship should connect with students career path.

Please contact Mrs. Simmers in room 348 for more information.
