Lake Washington High School
Welcome to Lake Washington High School. LWHS serves students in grades 10-12. LWHS is organized into small learning communities using a “House” system. The core subjects of English, social studies, math and science are taught in each house for grades 10-12. Elective courses and AP courses are not part of the house system. We believe that students succeed when they are known well by adults. By having students in the same house for three years, teachers are able to get to know them and work with them on an individual basis and our new building supports this model. We will be working this year on expanding the House system to accommodate the 9-12 reconfiguration.
