 Valentine Trivia Contest

 Evergreen Book Award

What is the Evergreen Book Award? This book award is given to a favorite Young Adult (YA) novel and is chosen by students between the grades of 7 and 12. The Evergreen Book Award nominees are chosen by The Washington State Young Adult Review Group (WashYARG). It is a regional reviewing organization of school and public librarians and other individuals interested in books, magazines, and other media appropriate for teenagers.
How can you take part? Read at least two of the nominated books and then vote on your favorite by using the poll on the library Haiku page (check the Extras tab on Haiku). Results will be available after April 1st.

 KangaReaders - Library Book Club

KangaReaders, the new LWHS book club, meets every Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:00 in the library. Come join us! Talk about books, talk about authors, talk about the weather or whatever is on your mind AND, the best part? We Eat Cookies! Everyone who is passionate about reading is welcome to join. We're KangaReaders and we're really hoppin! So, hop on in and grab a book!...and a cookie.
