For Parents
Dear Parents:
In an effort to gather parent perspective in regard to our school improvement efforts, it would help us if you could complete this survey.

Schools, district use data for improvement
Every year, the district asks parents and community members to take a few minutes and give us feedback about how our schools are doing. District-wide information is reported to the school board. Results are also broken out by school and provided to principals for use in their continuous improvement process. Parents and community members alike are invited to take part.

Survey questions are based on the Nine Characteristics of High-Performing Schools. This framework for school improvement was developed by the Office for the Superintendent of Public Schools based on a review of the research on what makes a high-performing school. Your answers will help us understand how we need to improve our schools and our district to be as high performing as possible.

This year, the survey will be open from March 12 through March 30. Please take a few minutes of your time to help the district and schools improve.

Convenience for junior high, high school parents
Lake Washington School District has added a new online payment system. The new system allows Lake Washington High School parents to go online and pay student fees, fines, make donations, buy yearbooks and more online using a credit card.

The district is charged fees for accepting payment using credit cards. For this service to be self-supporting, the school board approved a processing fee for online payments. The fee is 3.5% per transaction with a minimum charge of $1 and a maximum charge of $10. Fees will not be assessed on donations made to the district.

To make an online payment, just log in to Parent Access and find the new “Online Payments” icon. When you click on this icon, you can select your student(s) and pay associated fees or fines connected to your student(s). There are help and contact sections that can answer any questions you might have.

Please note: Payments to a student’s lunch account are still accessed separately through the “Lunch Account Balances and Payment” icon in Parent Access.
