Class of 2014 Culminating Project Information

Dear Class of 2013-2014 Senior and Parents of Seniors:

As a reminder, students may NOT complete and/or log any hours toward the state-mandated Culminating Project without an approved proposal first.  This is a project that builds on each piece.  The first step involves getting your project proposal approved.  From there, you may begin completing and logging your hours.

The project proposals were initially due on May 6th.  I have taken new and revised proposals through June 18, 2013.  If you did not get your proposal in and approved before this date, you may NOT complete the project over the summer.  You will need to turn in a typed proposal first thing in September and wait for approval to complete the project work.

In the meantime, in order to prepare for next year, please use this website as a tool to:
·         figure out what you want to do,
·         contact possible mentors,
·         look for job shadow opportunities, and
·         complete the proposal.

Ideally, you will be able to turn in a complete proposal when you return to school in the fall.  Remember, this is an independent project, so it is up to YOU to stay informed and do the necessary work. I will use this website to communicate with you, so be sure to check it throughout the school year.

If you had your proposal approved before school was out for summer, great job! J You may complete and log your hours anytime.  Please use the sample log of hours on this website to help you complete this important documentation of your project.  You may not change your project goals over the summer without prior approval.

Have a great summer, Kangs!  I can’t wait to see what you have accomplished!

Best,
Ms. Christiansen

After it is saved you should be able to type directly in the spaces provided. If you continue to have technical difficulties, please type up the proposal following my format as best you can in your own Word document.
