As you may have heard, I will be assuming the principal position at Lake Washington High School. I am very excited to begin this opportunity and look forward to meeting each of you personally. I have been in education for thirty years. I was a special education teacher for eighteen years some in the Lake Washington School District at Juanita and Eastlake High Schools. I was also an assistant principal at Kentwood High School for ten years where I was responsible for implementing their 9-12 transition.  In addition I have been at Eastlake High School as an Associate Principal and am currently the principal at BEST High School and the Family Learning Center.

I have a strong instructional background and look forward to the challenge of moving Lake Washington High School to a “house” system and the opening of the new school in 2012. Although there are many challenges ahead, I am confident that as a team we can accomplish amazing things in our efforts to improve student achievement.

I hope to set up some informal meetings in the fall for us to get to know one another.
