- Be a liaison to other parents with special needs children at Lakeview. Work with the Lake Washington PTSA council to inform Lakeview parents about resources and activities that are available for Special Needs Families. Time: 5-6 hours

- Teaching Grants
- Join the grants committee and help make decisions for the use of PTSA funds to support grants requested by our Lakeview teachers. Group meets twice a year to evaluate the grants.

- Move-a-thon
- Coordinate the spring PTSA Move-a-thon fundraiser. Coordinate volunteers for the event, design and distribute pledge cards, publicize the event within the parent community.

- Lakeview Birthday BBQ (June 6th, lunchtime)
- Coordinate with the school district food service team for menu, provide for birthday cake during lunch, organize volunteers for set up, serving and clean up. Time: Approximately 4 hours.

- 1st – 4th Grade Math Club
- Work with other parents in your child’s grade to facilitate math games during lunch recess. Time: Once a week during the cold weather months.

1st – 6th Grade Book Clubs
Help facilitate a book club for your child’s grade. Work with the teacher and other parents to select a book and hold a lunch book club meeting to discuss the book with the children. Time: once a month

- 5th Grade Celebration
- Coordinate with teachers and a committee of parents for end of Elementary School celebrations. Past years events have included a celebration ceremony at the school (with an invitation, program, booklet of class predictions, slide presentation, and gifts for the teachers), a pizza lunch at Peter Kirk Park, and a swim party at Peter Kirk Pool. Approx. 10 hours.

- Library Support Chair
- Help in the Lakeview Library. Tasks include circulation (check out and check in); shelving books and other materials; assisting students in book selection, research and school work; overseeing students during recesses; preparing materials and maintaining bulletin boards. Assist librarian in coordinating the annual book fair in October. Time commitment varies.
