Being a volunteer is a great way to meet other parents and students, and it provides wonderful benefits for our children and our school. Parents and community members are essential to the educational experience of our students. Be sure to check in at the front desk each time you volunteer at the school. Before helping out in the classroom or chaperone a field trip, volunteers must have completed the screening process.

Volunteer Application Process

All Lakeview Elementary volunteers must go through a screening process, for the safety of students and volunteers alike. All volunteers must apply and be approved before they can begin their volunteer service. A Parent Access user name and password is needed to fill out the application online.  Apply Online or Paper Application. This application is renewable every two years.

There are lots of opportunities throughout the school year to get involved in your child's school. Let us know what events you'd like to help out with or what your specific interests or talents are by completing the form provided in the information packet your student receives the first day of school. You may also contact Marypat via email with any questions or comments. 

Golden Acorn Award
A Golden Acorn Award is presented, by a the Lakeview PTSA, to a volunteer in recognition of his/her dedication and service to children and youth at Lakeview. A contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is made by the Lakeview PTSA to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program. From these contributions, WSPTA is able to provide grants to freshman students entering post-secondary education.
