Wed	Aug 19	School office opens
Sat	Aug 22	Kindergarten playdate at Terrace Park, 10am-12pm Kindergarten families - Welcome to Lakeview!  Please join us for a playdate before school begins, so your child will see a familiar face on the first day of school.  Snacks will be provided and siblings are welcome.  Contact: Karen Tipp.
Sun	Aug 23	School Grounds Clean-up Day, 1pm-4pm Work party to tidy up the school grounds in preparation for the upcoming school year. Come join the crew and if you can, bring your rakes, brooms, weed pulling and other garden tools. Even an hour of your time will make a big difference. Kids can help too!  Contact: Lis Hewitt 827-8702.
Wed	Aug 26	Kindergarten Orientation, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Thurs	Aug 27	Meet and Greet, 2:30pm-3:15pm Come find your kids' class assignments and meet the teachers.**
Tues	Sep 1	School starts!  9am Welcome back!  Please join us for a parent coffee after morning drop-off.
Thurs	Sep 3	PTSA Back-to-school Evening BBQ, 5:30-7:00pm The whole family is welcome.**
Mon	Sep 7	No School: Labor Day
Thurs	Sep 10	Curriculum Night,  6:30pm for 4-6th grade parents, 7:15pm for K-3rd grade parents. Come to your child's classroom to hear about the coming year. No childcare provided.

**Help wanted:

Meet & Greet (Thurs, Aug 27)	Volunteers needed to greet students and parents and look up their classroom & doublecheck their bus route. We need 4 volunteers by the main office for each 25 minute shift, 2:25pm-2:50pm or 2:50pm-3:15pm. If you can help please contact Sarah.
Assemble 1st Day Packets (Mon, Aug 24, 1pm-4pm)	Help put together the first day packets in the school gymnasium.  10 volunteers needed.  If you can help please contact Erin.
First day of school (Tues, Sep 1)	Volunteers needed at the main entrance, the bus stop, and behind the school to help students find their way to class. Many students come to the first day of school without a parent and aren't sure where to go. Having some adults there to help them find their way would be a big help. Volunteers would be at the school from 8:30am-9:00am. We would like 2 or 3 volunteers for each location. If you can help please contact Sarah.
Back to school BBQ (Thurs, Sep 3, 5:30-7pm)	Volunteers needed to help set up, serve and clean up.  If you can help please contact Dana.
