I was raised in Kirkland, Washington since I was 6 years old, and graduated from Lake Washington High School. I went on to Washington State University where I earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Later I received a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Aside from teaching one year in Texas I have been teaching in the LWSD my entire career. I began teaching first grade, and since then have managed to teach every grade K-5. This is my 7th year at Lakeview Elementary. I have a son, Liam, who will be a 4th grader at our school, and we both feel so lucky to be a part of this community. Outside of school, I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, shopping, going to movies, reading, and enjoying a hot latte on a cold, rainy Seattle day!
