Hello! My name is Sandy Dennehy. This is my 4th year as the Principal here at Peter Kirk Elementary and I truly love coming to work each day! I grew up in the Kirkland area and attended Ben Rush Elementary, Rose Hill Jr. High, and graduated from Lake Washington High School. I attended Washington State University and went on to teach 5th grade at Ben Franklin Elementary. I received my master’s in Administration Leadership and Principal Credentials from City University. Prior to coming to Peter Kirk, I was the Vice Principal of both McAuliffe and Alcott Elementary Schools in the Lake Washington School District.
A big reason I love coming to school each day is the incredible and dedicated staff and parent community here, not to mention the amazing kids! I feel incredibly lucky to have one of the most rewarding jobs in the world! Working with children has been a goal and passion of mine for as long as I can remember and what better place to land then Peter Kirk.
I look forward to working with you and you kids this year!
