Hi, My name is Sarah Brown and I enjoy teaching Family and Consumer Sciences at Kamiakin Junior High. I grew up in Enumclaw, Washington and moved to Richland, Washington for the last couple years of high school. For the 2008-2009 I will be teaching Consumer Life Skills (8/9th graders), Foods and Sewing (7th graders), and Health (7th graders). This year will be my fourth year at Kamiakin Junior High.
I graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in Family and Consumer Sciences with a certification in Career and Technical Education. I am currently an active member of the Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee and have served as the Advisory Coordinator. I am currently working on my Professional Certification through Seattle Pacific University and Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on the Arts through Lesley University. In addition to teaching at Kamiakin I coach many sports such as basketball, volleyball and softball.
