 National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization for high school students (11th and 12th graders), as it recognizes those who have excelled not only in school, but also within their communities.

After its founding in 1921, the NHS has focused on promoting SCHOLARSHIP, CHARACTER, LEADERSHIP, and SERVICE, which have come to be known as the club's four tenets. "The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools."

 National Art Honor Society

National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is designed specifically for high school students in grades 9-12. In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program specifically for high school students, for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of the highest standards in art areas, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
