Fundraising
Fundraising supports the Ben Franklin PTA Mission:  We provide a forum for parents, teachers, administrators and the community to enhance the learning environment for our students. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
 
Ben Franklin’s main fundraiser of the year is a Jog-a-thon, held in October. Money raised from this fundraiser (through donations and corporate matching) helps to fund programs that enhance and supplement classroom learning.  Money also goes toward classroom enrichment supplies, additional art and science programs, assemblies, drama, choir, library books, and other supplemental programs. 

Other easy ways to boost PTA funds: 

  1. Buy scrip gift cards  and 4-10% of your purchase is returned to our school; 

  2. Sign up online with Safeway through E-Scrip so that your Club Card purchases earn school donations; and 

  3. Pick up a "B" Caring Card at Bartell Drugs, and designate to support "Ben Franklin El".   Franklin will reeive 4% from all your purchases at Bartells.  It's easy!   

  4. Access the Amazon Associates program's and 4% of your Amazon.com order benefits our school!   

  5. Clip Boxtops and send in with your student and shop at Boxtops4education  and a portion of your purchase price will go to the school   

  6. Ask your employer if they match either financial donations or volunteer hours.  For example, Microsoft will match a donation of $25 or more and it will pay our school $17 per hour that full-time employees volunteer at the school.  Please ask you HR liaison for more details.
