Details on how to volunteer at Ben Franklin Elementary.

Ben Franklin has many volunteer opportunities that give you the ability to help enhance the learning environment at the school both during class and through PTA activities.  Your skills, time and enthusiasm are needed and appreciated.  We encourage participation and involvement from everyone.  Volunteering not only benefits the school community, but shows your individual child(ren) your commitment to their success at school.  It is also a great way to meet other parents, school staff and students!

Contact your child's teacher for in-class volunteer opportunities and consider the PTA volunteer opportunities.  Feel free to contact the PTA volunteer coordinator with any questions. If you'd like to play a bigger role on the PTA, consider joining the board; parent leaders are always needed!

Volunteer Application Process

All volunteers must go through a screening process, for the safety of our students.  LWSD manages the volunteer application process.   Your application is renewable every two years.   It is an easy process:

Step 1:    Read the Volunteer Handbook

Step 2:    Apply online to volunteer (Register/or be a registered Parent access user) for this option

Or you can fill out a paper application form

Step 3:  Wait for approval, before beginning volunteer service.

And, please remember to check in at the office each time you volunteer.
