Watch DOGS, a K-12 program, invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures to volunteer at least one full day at their child‘s/student's school during the school year. This is a national program designed to help every school in America be positively influenced by the committed involvement of fathers and father figures in the lives of their children and students. The program is overseen by a ―Top Dog volunteer, Bryce Olson, who partners with the school to coordinate scheduling and identify opportunities for Watch DOGS to provide assistance at the school. Watch DOG volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their volunteer day including monitoring the school entrance, assisting with unloading and loading of buses and cars, monitoring the lunch room, and helping in the classroom with a teacher's guidance by working with small groups of students on homework, flashcards, or spelling. They also assist in music, PE and the library. Their participation at recess is a huge favorite with the students.

Regional Watch DOGS Golf Tournament... the 3rd annual Watch DOGS golf tournament is taking place on Sunday, 10/9, at Redmond Ridge. Start time is 12:45pm. Please let me know if you're interested in participating as a player ($89) and/or sponsor ($100). All proceeds from the event go to Western Washington Watch DOGS programs. Any items that could be donated as door prizes would also be appreciated. Please RSVP to me, if interested.
