Description:

Math Kangaroo is a popular international not-selective competition in mathematics  for students of grades 1 to 12.  It has been organized in the United States for 14 years, and it is its third year in Seattle.

The problems you'll find in a Kangaroo are grade-appropriate, in that they require no special math skills beyond what's learned at school. Instead, Math Kangaroo emphasizes math reasoning, logics and creative problems. Math Kangaroo helps the students both to develop their skills and to enjoy mathematics even more.

Each student receives a T-shirt, a certificate of participation, and a gift in addition to a competition booklet and a pencil on the test day.

The tests are evaluated nationally, and the top winners receive special awards in May. In addition, the students with the best national scores in each grade level are recognized on the Math Kangaroo web site.
