Green Team
Started in 2009.  The Green Team works to make our school more environmentally friendly.

A message from our Green Team:

It’s Not Cool to Idle at School!

Who:      All Ben Franklin Students and Parents
What:     No Idling Zone
Where:   In front of Ben Franklin Elementary (Student Pick-Up/Drop-Off Lane)
When:    Every day!
Description: The Ben Franklin Green Team has been working hard this year to promote reducing, reusing, and recycling as a way to reduce the amount of waste we produce here at school. Now, they have set their focus on reducing the pollution we cause here, as well! One way parents and other drivers can help is by turning off their cars while they’re in the Student Pick-Up/Drop-Off lane in front of Franklin. By reducing the amount of time each car is idling, we can significantly decrease the amount of pollution that Franklin students breathe in while waiting to be picked up from school. Thank you!
