Safety Net is a supplemental program for students who need extra help in reading and/or math. This is a TIER II intervention meaning it occurs in addition to interventions conducted by the classroom teacher. Safety Net is typically a pull out class for half an hour during the school day but it can also be delivered in class for “push in” assistance. Specific students are served in Safety Net depending on DIBELs and MSP scores.
Jennifer Dressel is the Safety Net person. You are welcome to read her biography, or email her.
Franklin Elementary also offers afterschool intervention programs, Math Magicians and Reading Wizards. These supplement the Safety Net Program.
