Welcome New and Returning Families!
The purpose of the Emerson K-12 Parent Association is to promote educational opportunities for students enrolled at Emerson K-12. As stated in Washington Administrative Code, Parent Partnerships include significant participation and partnership by parents and families in the design and implementation of a student's learning experience.
The Association organizes parent involvement in:
· Promoting the participation of parents in the educational process.
· Promoting communication between teachers, parents and students.
· Generating financial support for educational programs.
· Providing opportunities for student involvement in the community.
The association is a 501(c) (3) non- profit. Parents may join by paying yearly dues of $25 per family. All members partner with district administration and staff, contributing to the betterment of Emerson K-12, its community, staff, classes and campus.
The association is governed by a board consisting of seven parents elected by the parents or guardians of students enrolled at Emerson K-12. Each member serves a one-year term. The Emerson K-12 Parent Association’s responsibility is to represent families at Emerson K-12 in their relationship to the LWSD.
